NOTE SOME OF ITS OUTSTANDING FEATURES : TX-5
The Model TX-5 tuner provides reception of AM broadcasts (535 to 1,605 kilocycles), FM broadcasts (88 to 108 megacycles), and FM multiplex stereo broadcasts. Its sensitivity and selectivity is head and shoulders above other tuners, to provide clear and clean reception.
The FM circuit is equipped with an efficient AFC circuit with defeat switch for stable and outstanding hearing.
Channel separation in reception of FM multiplex is exceedingly good, for superb stereo effect. The front panel of the TX-5 tuner is of extruded aluminum, similar to the SM-83 amplifier, to provide a clean cut professional look. When installing the tuner in a custom cabinet, just remove the outer metal case. The front panel is permanently attached to the chassis and will greatly enhance the appearance of the cabinet.
The discriminator is a stable and efficient Foster-Seeley circuit.
The 'magic eye' tuning indicator on the front panel is an easy-to-read horizontal type, and overall layout and construction is designed for maximum ease in operation. Station selection is easy with the extra-large tuning scale.
